Rock Band One Republic and country star Dierks Bentley will be the next two musicians that team up for the Country Music Television (CMT) Crossroads program. This will be their first-ever collaboration, which will premiere in mid-march on CMT. The program features country music by pairing country artists with musicians from other genres. Each episode centers around a different set of stars playing together, swapping stories and sharing their common love for music.
One Republic just released their third album, “Native”, in March 2013. It debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. The band will start their US tour this summer.
Dierks Bentley, released a new album, “Riser” on February 25th. It’s his first album since his father’s death and the birth of his first son. Bentley is climbing the country airplay chart with his song “I Hold On” and kicks off his “Riser” tour on May 9th in Charlotte, N.C.
I’ve always enjoyed listening to One Republic and Dierks Bentley as well as keeping up with their careers. The CMT Crossroads has always been an amazing program, because not only do the country artists pick the other musicians to play with, but it also shows who the country artists favorite bands are.
You can always hear Dierks Bentley on “This Is How Country Feels”, every Wednesday night 8 – 11 with Dominick Allan only on WCRXFM and WCRXFM.com.
