“I would like to be remembered as somebody who has changed the world in a positive way, in a social, sexual sense, and I’d be very happy with that. I’m a kid who dreamed the dreams, and made them come true.” Hefner told CNN in an interview.
Chicago Native Hugh Hefner passed away last night on September 27th, 2017. Hugh founded Playboy Magazine in 1953 with the first publication featuring a nude Marylin Monroe. After putting his furniture up as loan collateral and borrowing some money from his family, Hefner was able to build PlayBoy into an international Icon and empire, far beyond what anyone thought it could be.
Hefner was a genius of entrepreneurship and marketing, turning his brand into a magazine, a fashion, and even a lifestyle. His legacy will be forever remembered and looked upon as one of the greatest and most genuine businessmen of all time.
