I just want to say thank you to all the listeners first and foremost, and to all the artists that were gracious enough to not only help promote the show any given week, but also to allow me to feature them every Wednesday night.

By the time Manifest rolls around and I get those last 45 minutes behind the WCRXFM Mic, it will be my 85th show broadcasted over 88.1. I will be dedicating those last 45 minutes to the artists that helped get me where I am today.

I grew up listening to country music. For as long as I can remember, any time I drove with my dad to any destination, country music was playing through the car speakers. It was turned up so loud I was able to feel the vibration of every note plucked on a guitar and every lyric sung by whatever US99 wanted to play for us.

When I started my show at WCRXFM, I was so excited. I titled the show after one of my favorite Randy Houser songs, “How Country Feels”, and had the idea to feature up-and-coming artists. I had no idea how big the Country Challenge would ever get. The thousands of votes coming in every week blew me away. Just like that, I had created a fan base, and most importantly new friendships.

Having my last show dedicated to the winners of the Country Challenge, the musicians who won 5 weeks in a row, listened when they could, called me live on the air and sent me drops, this blog and my last final show goes out to you.

I promise our journey doesn’t stop here. Wherever I end up, I will always make sure to take those challengers with me, and share their music with any listener that tunes in to me on the air. I just want to say thanks and farewell to WCRXFM. Thank you so much for everything you have helped me with. I will miss my Wednesday night show, but I will never stop Showing You How Country Feels.
