I had the chance to speak with Frank De La Mora and Miguel Martin (aka Trancid), who together make up the electronic duo EchoDroides. Horizon, the pair’s second EP, was released this past week, exactly one year after their first, Telescopic.
It’s clear to hear how comfortable the two are together, and one can easily picture them working well together in a artistic setting. More importantly, the respect the two musicians have for each other is inspiring; each trusts his partner’s creative input implicitly. They’re opening a sold-out show at the Elbo Room as I type this, but you might have caught them at the Art Institute or you may check them out later this month at the Double Door.
